I am buying a new laptop and a certain Samsung model that is on sale right now caught my eye. Or if I am stressed I will use what I believe firmly in like.....The truth is the mind can be affected to become weak at times during the day and one result could be one bad decision. Friend who won't ever return romantic feelings?

I gotta say I’ve been in love with a guy friend for nearly 2 years. Maybe not in love, but crazy over him. I’ve accepted the fact that he probably won’t ever return those feelings back. I don’t think that I measure up *physically* to what he is looking for. And besides, we have already talked about us dating and I know it’s pretty much a dead end. Nonetheless, for most of the 2 years I’ve known him, we’ve been pretty good friends, talking nearly every night online or through text and whatnot. We have very candid conversations that go on for hours about nearly any topic. So I’ve obviously gotten to know him a bit. And I’ve gotten to know some of his flaws – like him being self-centered, self-important, shallow, vain, etc. I’ve expressed to him my thoughts about that on a couple of occasions, and he takes great offense in it and insists that he isn’t like that. He even stopped talking to me for a month. I confronted him about that, and he says that he doesn’t want to be friends with someone who thinks some “false things” about him. Well, I’m not going to apologize to him for what I think. But little does he know that the reason I’m so harsh to him (in my head and sometimes through our conversations) is because I’m trying to make myself believe that he isn’t worthy because I know I’ll never have him. He is in love with some beautiful chick named Laura. I know I can’t compare, despite me not being ugly or fat per se …. But I simply don’t stack up to this girl, she is drop dead gorgeous. He has gotten to know me and seen what I’m about, and it still has not had an effect on him (as in, “Hey this girl is pretty cool and she’s not bad-looking”). Yet he barely knows this girl but he drools over her because of how hot she is. I’ve known that he won’t ever like me like I like him, so my heart has put up some barriers, and have become overly critical of him. Truth is, he’s a decent guy but based on what he said to me a couple nights ago, he thinks that I think of him as this bad person or something. I don’t really think of him like that, and while I DO really think that he is vain, I’m OVERLY harsh on him because of my resentment of him not returning those feelings to me. Kind of like, if you can’t have ‘em then they *must* suck type of thing. Flawed thinking, I know, but it’s a defense mechanism. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m considering just leaving things as they are (us not talking anymore), let him continue to think what he wants, and just move on with my life, with him being none the wiser of my underlying present feelings. Maybe I could truly get over him this way, instead of going a couple of months with the feelings surpressed and then realizing that I wasn’t really over it after all.

Is there anything I can do to prevent dry mouth as a side effect from a drug?

I take a medication called adderall to treat my ADHD. I've tried all types of ADHD medication such as Concerta, Ritalin, Vyvanse, and Strattera. Some of them helped a little and others helped a lot but came with unbearable side effects. Now I'm on adderall and it has been a lifesaver for me. I like it because of the added focus I get from it, plus it doesn't really seem to change my personality much, to my surprise(all the other meds made me feel like a completely different person). The only issue I've had with it is that I can really bad dry mouth from it and it bothers me a lot. So, is there anything I can do to prevent the dry mouth? I tried drinking water but I become thirsty to the point where I was consuming like 16 bottles of water a day. Hell I can't do that though I'm not no damn camel. Is there something else I could do b/c this cotton mouth is making me want stab myself in the face. HAte it. A lot.

I'm not sure what you might've done, but it was stupid to blow into your fan (are you sure it still works?). It seems like the only thing you have left to do is to wipe and restore your system from the installation disc. You can backup your files through the install disk. If you need help on how to do this go to gabessdsp.webs.com and make a forum post about it, somebody there can help you, they can even do a system restore for a very low fee/free if you pay the shipping charges. But that seems like the only way to go.

Dell FTW. They might be a little bit more expensive than others but they are worth their weight in gold. They are reliable, easy to work with ( for a tech ) and durable. HPs are decent but they tend to have overheating issue and they have had way to many recalls ( including one that is recent for laptop batteries catching on fire) . All other brands don't even lean towards. They are a little trickier to work with and break down alot more.

Toshiba won't start windows?

I have a Windows 7 and I just got my laptop about a week ago...The problem is that it turns on and when it gets to the screen where it says Starting Windows, it freezes, I've waited for hours for it to start and nothing, never changes...I have also shut it off and tried to do a Startup Repair but It says that Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically, can you help??? We have a mac (one of the newer, non-portable ones) and last Summer it wouldn't turn on. As in, it was all fine one day, and then the next day it just had no power. We had to send it away to be fixed for 8 weeks until we finally got it back. This, unfortunately, has happened again yesterday and our computer has been sent away...again. I always thought that macs were supposed to be such good quality but I've had a Toshiba as long as the mac and have had zero problems with it whereas our mac has now been sent away for repairs twice in less than a year. After borrowing about 20 other people's phones I finally get a ride from my mom, who cant get me until almost 2 when it was noon. So i sat outside in 90 degree weather IN THE GHETTO with nothing to do but wait. My mom picks me up and drives me home and i don't speak to her for a few days (even though she's my neighbor too). Then finally today when im out walking my dog, her dad pulls me aside and starts giving me a speech that's supposed to scare me, saying how she is real upset how i haven't forgiven her, how i shouldn't talk like that to her daughter, how I should be a man and all that macho bullshit. and i find myself standing here not giving a ****, yet at the same time feeling guilty because I don't feel guilty. She was a middle school friend who the only reason i still hung out with was because i had no friends freshmen year. She has done **** like this before countless times, and i rolled belly up because I had no other choice. The worst part is that she that she would only be my friend when she wanted to and made me feel insecure and awkward about anything I did, which really ****** with my head for a long time . To end my bitching here: she's manipulative, rude, self-centered, and all packaged behind the smug facade of some indie chick who is completely oblivious that this is the straw that broke the camel's back. I gotta say I’ve been in love with a guy friend for nearly 2 years. Maybe not in love, but crazy over him. I’ve accepted the fact that he probably won’t ever return those feelings back. I don’t think that I measure up *physically* to what he is looking for. And besides, we have already talked about us dating and I know it’s pretty much a dead end. Nonetheless, for most of the 2 years I’ve known him, we’ve been pretty good friends, talking nearly every night online or through text and whatnot. We have very candid conversations that go on for hours about nearly any topic. So I’ve obviously gotten to know him a bit. And I’ve gotten to know some of his flaws – like him being self-centered, self-important, shallow, vain, etc. I’ve expressed to him my thoughts about that on a couple of occasions, and he takes great offense in it and insists that he isn’t like that. He even stopped talking to me for a month. I confronted him about that, and he says that he doesn’t want to be friends with someone who thinks some “false things” about him. Well, I’m not going to apologize to him for what I think. But little does he know that the reason I’m so harsh to him (in my head and sometimes through our conversations) is because I’m trying to make myself believe that he isn’t worthy because I know I’ll never have him. I’m considering just leaving things as they are (us not talking anymore), let him continue to think what he wants, and just move on with my life, with him being none the wiser of my underlying present feelings. Maybe I could truly get over him this way, instead of going a couple of months with the feelings surpressed and then realizing that I wasn’t really over it after all. What should I do? :(

IE randomly opens - brand new computer?

I got a new Toshiba Satellite C660 laptop this afternoon. One of the first things I did with my new computer is install Google Chrome, so that is the only thing ie has been used for. I also changed google chrome to my default browser. But now every 20 minutes or so IE just opens up ninemsn for no apparent reason. At first I thought there must be some default keyboard shortcut that automatically opens IE, but since it opened after I had not even touched the computer for a few minutes it seems to be just opening by itself. Surely it can't be a virus, so far I've only been on Google, Yahoo, Facebook, youtube, eBay, The local newspaper site, and my Uni's site, all of which are reasonably secure sites. I've had this computer for only 6 hours, it's unlikely it already has malware on it. Any suggestions to stop IE doing this?

My nethew spilled a glass of water on my laptop it was fine at first and than after an hour I realized that some letters on keyboard didn't worked so I turned it off and told my brother about it. He told me to unplug it and take the battery out and than he compressed it with air to take all the water out. But when I turned it back on it made a really loud beeping sound and only up and down errow worked. After that I blow dryed it with a fan and than turned laptop up side down and left it over night like that. It will kill and wipe anything that's not backed up onto any CD or Hard Drive. Only real thing I will advise you on is make sure that you have all of the drivers you need to make Win7 work again. If you don't have proper drivers then your sound may not work, graphics may be not as nice as hoped. Just make sure all is backed up, you have drivers and get a free anti virus.

I bought myself a Toshiba Satellite last year and I was and still am completely amazed by the performance of it. I have 4GB of RAM, dual core processor, 1366x768 LCD screen, and a decent graphics card and it only cost about $450. I give this laptop a 10/10, it is also extremely light and has a very sturdy feel to it. Plus it just looks like the sexiest little 15" laptop I've ever seen. The keyboard types extremely well and the touch pad has extremely good performance and I have never ever had one problem with this whole machine.

Disk drive won't open or read?

i have a Toshiba Satellite L500-128. It just happened all of a sudden, i took out my sims3 generations disc(always in it) to put in a DVD then all of a sudden it wouldn't read that disc. I gotta say I’ve been in love with a guy friend for nearly 2 years. Maybe not in love, but crazy over him. I’ve accepted the fact that he probably won’t ever return those feelings back. He has gotten to know me and seen what I’m about, and it still has not had an effect on him (as in, “Hey this girl is pretty cool and she’s not bad-looking”). Yet he barely knows this girl but he drools over her because of how hot she is. I’ve known that he won’t ever like me like I like him, so my heart has put up some barriers, and have become overly critical of him. Truth is, he’s a decent guy but based on what he said to me a couple nights ago, he thinks that I think of him as this bad person or something. I don’t really think of him like that, and while I DO really think that he is vain, I’m OVERLY harsh on him because of my resentment of him not returning those feelings to me. Kind of like, if you can’t have ‘em then they *must* suck type of thing. Flawed thinking, I know, but it’s a defense mechanism. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m considering just leaving things as they are (us not talking anymore), let him continue to think what he wants, and just move on with my life, with him being none the wiser of my underlying present feelings. Maybe I could truly get over him this way, instead of going a couple of months with the feelings surpressed and then realizing that I wasn’t really over it after all. What should I do? :(

It's expensive and unless you find a really good surgeon, a lot of things can turn out wrong. It's hard for me to say, "love the way you are" when I have an eating disorder, but still, you should. When you get out of the shower, put some kind of leave in conditioner, or detangler in, and brush all your hair straight back. Make sure you don't part your hair. Then put a curl gel, or some type of moose on your hand, and run it through your hair (if you use moose, don't use a lot, or you will get that scrunched look. Your going to look stupid, but put a bunch of thick braids throughout your hair, don't just put one big one in, I'd have probably around 4-5 braids (don't make them thin braids, you want thick ones). Then either sleep in them, or just leave them in long enough to dry (although it looks better if you sleep with them in). Then slowly unbraid it after it dries, but don't run your fingers through it or it will make them frizzy. Then just part your hair in the middle. Fix it up with a little hairspray and gel. (:

Toshiba laptop problems with the webcam?

I have a year old Toshiba laptop with a built in webcam and ever since I got this laptop it has been giving me trouble. I have never used the webcam or anything. Everytime I turn on my laptop and go on the web the brightness on the screen on the computer dulls than lightens back to normal, it's the wierdest thing! There is a little light that is on right now next to the webcam that shows up blue and every time the screen lightens it turns on and every time it dulls it turns off. And now it's blinking! It does this about every minute! When the blue light turns off it makes this noise its really wierd and kinda sounds like symbols crashing into one another! Please help me fix it it's driving me nuts and I don't know what else to do! Any answers and appriciated! Thanks!!!

Question about USB device not uploading photos on my computer?

I have a Aluratek USB device and I am trying to upload them on my laptop and each time I put it in it says it will not register the device I don't know what they mean by that. I put it in and it said USB device not reistered and I don't know what could be causing that. It said one of the Devices had malfuntioned and stoped working and I am not sure how to fix it. Friend who won't ever return romantic feelings?

I gotta say I’ve been in love with a guy friend for nearly 2 years. Maybe not in love, but crazy over him. I’ve accepted the fact that he probably won’t ever return those feelings back. I don’t think that I measure up *physically* to what he is looking for. And besides, we have already talked about us dating and I know it’s pretty much a dead end. Nonetheless, for most of the 2 years I’ve known him, we’ve been pretty good friends, talking nearly every night online or through text and whatnot. We have very candid conversations that go on for hours about nearly any topic. So I’ve obviously gotten to know him a bit. And I’ve gotten to know some of his flaws – like him being self-centered, self-important, shallow, vain, etc. I’ve expressed to him my thoughts about that on a couple of occasions, and he takes great offense in it and insists that he isn’t like that. He even stopped talking to me for a month. I confronted him about that, and he says that he doesn’t want to be friends with someone who thinks some “false things” about him. Well, I’m not going to apologize to him for what I think. But little does he know that the reason I’m so harsh to him (in my head and sometimes through our conversations) is because I’m trying to make myself believe that he isn’t worthy because I know I’ll never have him. He is in love with some beautiful chick named Laura. I know I can’t compare, despite me not being ugly or fat per se …. But I simply don’t stack up to this girl, she is drop dead gorgeous. He has gotten to know me and seen what I’m about, and it still has not had an effect on him (as in, “Hey this girl is pretty cool and she’s not bad-looking”). Yet he barely knows this girl but he drools over her because of how hot she is. I’ve known that he won’t ever like me like I like him, so my heart has put up some barriers, and have become overly critical of him. Truth is, he’s a decent guy but based on what he said to me a couple nights ago, he thinks that I think of him as this bad person or something. I don’t really think of him like that, and while I DO really think that he is vain, I’m OVERLY harsh on him because of my resentment of him not returning those feelings to me. Kind of like, if you can’t have ‘em then they *must* suck type of thing. Flawed thinking, I know, but it’s a defense mechanism. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m considering just leaving things as they are (us not talking anymore), let him continue to think what he wants, and just move on with my life, with him being none the wiser of my underlying present feelings. Maybe I could truly get over him this way, instead of going a couple of months with the feelings surpressed and then realizing that I wasn’t really over it after all.

Ok so a couple of weeks ago i began having trouble with my toshiba 120 watt ac adapter charger. I would have to position the prong a certain way in order for it to take a charge. and then smelled burning plastic. I took it up to geek squad and they i needed a new dc jack (charger port) and proably a new charger totalling up to almost 300 hundred dollars. i hadnt used my charger for 2 weeks and left i unplug and my computer completely off and today i decided to test it out again. I plugged in the charger and i didnt have to position it a certain way and ive been monitoring the coating around the prong to see if its getting extremely hot like it had been. i dont not smell the burning scent anymore and the charger is at best warm. Its normal and its charging. is this some technical fluke/miracle and im all set to use my charger or is it doing more damage?

External Hard disk Problem....Heeeeeeelp..!!?

I have a Toshiba 500GB external hard disk & have been using it for 4 months with my laptop, but after my desktop came from repair, the person who repaired it put kaspersky 6.0 antivirus on it.When i connected my harddisk to my pc, kaspersky blocked it from opening.Now when I connected it back to my laptop, it won't recognize a as a harddisk as it used to before , instead it says "Removable Disk D" & when i try to access it dosnt opn...it says "Please enter a Disk in Removable Disk D"....pleeeeease help...wat shod i do...???i hav lots of things on the hard disk wich i dnt wnt 2 loose....

I have been in college studying Fine Art (studio). I have been in school working on a BA in Art. I was at Junior status at the University of North Florida. I have been real undecided of what minor I could take with the major that I can do something with it. There are a few subjects that I have a interest in which is psychology and cultural (anthropology). Lately I have felt a bit apprehensive of what my passion may be about it. I only enjoy Art because I love to draw or paint picture of things that I may find interesting or appealing to me like a figure(model), object or nature. I like to sketch ideas to create (a design) or something I imagined. I'm just not sure what I want to do! I do NOT know if I want to teach! I only hold a general Associate's and Arts degree (AA). I have been checking on jobs I have only done some Volunteer activity at a Art Museum. I am planning on submitting some of my artwork Online so that I may have Art gallery on a website. Ok, I have one bikini, the bottoms to which ride, and show an obvious camel toe. They are not too tight, as I actually had to tighten the string ties to keep it from falling off. If I have to download a windows 7 recovery disk, or reinstall it, will I lose files and programs not backed up?

You will loose everything that is not backed up if you do a full recovery. But, if you don't have the recovery disk that came with your laptop you will also have problems getting the drivers required for your system to know how to use its own hardware. I would definitely consider recovery as a last option, especially if you don't have the factory recovery disk.
