I was recently given the Toshiba satelite as a gift for college what special things does it have?

its so expensive and too me i feel like you pay for way more than its worth & dosnt do anything better or special than the 400 500 $ laptops. can you tell me why its so expensive? i should b hapyy i just wish my grandma would have bought somthing more sensable.
