Great, I dropped it, now what?

It could be that the socket has come loose from the mother board and it will be a simple fix. Did it run off of the battery afterwords, because I once dropped my brothers DS lite down a ladder and some very small but vital parts broke off of the mother board (Just from the force of the impact) and now it is completely dead. If that happened to your computer it will be cheaper to buy a new one than to repair it. Also if it is only the power socket, your hard disk might also be broken.
